Horror fans prepare yourself, the ultimate summer scary movie candle is about to get lit this June!
Our prince Mr Paul Tufis is excited to announce our first official celebrity collab with the talented Soska Sisters, Jen & Sylvia.
This candle is inspired by their horror film, 'American Mary', a film about a surgeon gone mad and bent on revenge.
We sat down with the event coordinator Paul, AKA the Platinum Prince...
Paul, tell us about your experience meeting the Soska Sisters, were you scared at all?
At first, I was nervous for sure. Pitching to various celebs, I get mixed reactions so its always uncharted waters but as soon as I approached the Soska sisters, they were thrilled to see me enthusiastic about the product and the rest is history.
Did the demon twins, as they are sometimes known, have any specific ideas for a candle and how did you come up with this amazing concept?
The sisters envisioned a candle that dealt with their horror movies. American Mary is their most iconic and the one that their fans resonate the most. The soska sisters drafted a detailed list of what they would want in a candle so that's when I knew watching American Mary would construct the ideal scents and inserts.
Do you think people would enjoy burning this candle while watching their favorite horror flick?
I think people would absolutely love burning this candle while watching their favorite horror flick! It has a fantastic scent profile that immerses you in the moment.
What future plans do you have with the Soska sisters or other celebs?
With Soska sisters, after this collab is fully completed, potentially approach the sisters with collabing on their Rippaverse comic line. Having official super hero themed candles would be an interesting addition to our collections.
Fun fact about you, like your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is Inception. It fascinates me on how it conveys the concept of having multiple layers in a dream state and how your thoughts and actions in one, have a ripple effect in not only on your conscious, but also on the external environment. I have never seen a movie quite like it and I hope they come out with a sequel one day.
